UK-based Union Colours has purchased the organic pigment manufacturing assets from Rolfes Colour Pigment International to continue the manufacture of organic pigment in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Phillip Myles, Union Colour’s General Manager said: "We are proud to have been working with Rolfes. Now that the initial relationship has matured, it was a natural decision to start a company and take ownership of their organic pigment production. It fits well into our continued growth plans and will better our capability to meet the increasing regulatory requirements amongst our customer base. We are the only organic pigment manufacturer in Africa, producing a range of value add products to our already competent Chinese range, resulting in one of the widest organic product ranges in the market today. This also demonstrates our open attitude when it comes to the development of our growing international manufacturing capabilities.”
