Toyo Engineering India Limited, an Indian subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation, has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract (EPC) to build a multi-business chemical production site for BASF India Limited, located in Dahej, on the west coast of India in Gujarat Province.
The site will be an integrated hub for polyurethane manufacturing and will also house production facilities for care chemicals and polymer dispersions for coatings and paper. Toyo-India will execute the project under an EPC turnkey contract at lump sum price. The plant is expected to commence operations in 2014.
The site at Dahej will ensure local supply of products and solutions for India’s growing markets and will cater to industries such as adhesives, architectural coatings and paper.
