The ChemQuest Group, a global business strategy and external technology development firm with focus and expertise specific to the specialty chemicals markets, announces the addition of Julie Vaughn Biege as a Director.
Ms Vaughn Biege joins ChemQuest bringing decades of experience in the specialty chemical industry in commercial development, marketing, innovation, strategic planning, product management and manufacturing management at Lanxess, Emerald Performance Materials, Lubrizol, Noveon and BFGoodrich. Most notably, she led corporate marketing and business development during the carve out and formation of Emerald Performance Materials, establishing the company brand and leading key business development initiatives for several of its business units. During this time, the company experienced growth through innovation and expansion into new applications, where Ms Vaughn Biege led teams focused in CASE segments as well as personal care, food and feed additives, and latex polymers.
Ms Vaughn Biege earned a BS in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA from Kent State University. She has authored or co-authored numerous papers for adhesives and sealants, paint and coating magazines and conferences, and has several patents/patent applications from her participation in company innovation initiatives. She has been an active member of the Adhesives & Sealants Council (ASC) marketing committee, the Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA), and SPE (Vinyl Division).
