A Bolton- based protective coatings manufacturer has acquired a business with offices in Dubai and Hong Kong to expand its offering to the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI), which employs more than 280 workers in Bolton, has bought Phoenix Fire Protection Group.
Phoenix Fire Protection Group has more than 15 years’ experience in the design, testing and manufacture of corrosion and fire protection coatings for use on structural steelwork.
The company’s skills and services will extend Sherwin-Williams’ reach across the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Ian Walker, managing director of Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings EMEAI, said: "This addition perfectly complements our geographic reach and helps us to provide an even better service to our customers on the ground."
Projects supplied by Phoenix have included Disneyland Theme Park, Hong Kong, Dubai International Airport concourse, Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and Qatar Exhibition Centre.
