In addition to its production capacity of about 10,000t/yr out of the Cassano, Italy Biosuccinium plant, Reverdia has announced that it is now licensing Biosuccinium. This is a clear advantage for companies who want to integrate bio-succinic acid production into their business offering, enabling competitive bio-based materials.
On making the announcement, Marcel Lubben, President of Reverdia said: "By licensing the Biosuccinium technology, as well as selling product direct, we are ensuring that more customers can benefit from Reverdia’s experience in technology and application development. The licensing offering is essential to unlock the bio- based market and is the next logical step in our evolution.”
It is used in the production of polymers and chemicals, including bioplastic polybutylene succinate (PBS), resins for paints and coatings, phthalate-free plasticisers and polyester polyols for polyurethanes
