From March 6-9, 2013, Paint – Finishing & Façade 2013 will take place in Cologne, Germany. It will be held at the Koelnmesse in Halls 6-9 and will target industry, trade and handicraft specialists. Segments will include: paint and lacquers, coating materials, plaster and plastering systems, adhesives and auxiliaries, ecological building materials and paint sprayers and paint spraying systems.
Hall 6 will house paints and lacquers companies, which is expected to include Meffert, AkzoNobel, Caparol, BASF, Sto AG, Henkel, NMC and Valpaint.
The international fair ‘Paint – Finishing & Façade’ is regarded as the European trade fair event when it comes to the themes paint, finishing, façade, design, building protection, stucco, plastering and dry construction. The current booking quotas for the Cologne exhibition space confirm this right across the board. One year before the fair opens, the exhibition space in Halls 6 to 9 is already very much in demand. The layout planning began immediately after the previous event in 2010. In Hall 6, in which coating materials, paint and finishing are presented, even at this stage around 90% of the hall is booked. With its diverse spectrum of products, processes and materials along with a high-class support programme, the forthcoming fair is once again the major meeting place for the sector. It therefore comes as no surprise that compared to the previous event in 2007, and around 14 weeks prior to the closing date for registrations, the level of bookings is on average 20 per cent higher – in the core segment even by as much as 40%. Up to May 31, 2012 interested companies still have the opportunity to book exhibition space in the Koelnmesse exhibition halls.
One reason for the popularity of the event, the merging of the two fairs "Paint" and "Finishing & Façade" to form "Paint – Finishing & Façade" in 2007, no doubt lies in the broad sector spectrum, which the trade fair covers: ‘Paint – Finishing & Facade’ has established itself as the leading European trade fair for interior and facade design. At no other event are so many innovations and new products on presented on these themes. "We are delighted to have the entire sector as our guests in 2013 in Cologne", said Werner Loch, Executive Director, Central Federation of Paint, Decoration, Building Protection (Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz), Frankfurt. Together with the Finishing and Facade Association (Bundesverband Ausbau und Fassade) within the Central Association of the German Construction Industry (Zentralverband des Deutschen Baugewerbes), they are the honorary sponsors at the trade fair for painters and finishers, stucco workers and plasterers, dry construction workers, flooring, parquet, tile, screed layers and interior designers. The high quality and comprehensive support programme at the fair with open forums, lecture events, special shows and competitions among others for the crafts trades, housing industry and architects, is also meeting with great interest.
