Recipe for success
Thailand’s paint industry is experiencing strong growth, reflecting the country’s growing economy and success in exports – for example, the European Union (EU) is currently negotiating a trade deal with Thailand and ties with surrounding countries are already well established and strong. Sarawut Rachanakul, President of the Thai Paint Manufacturers Association, said: “Factors contributing to Thailand’s export success in the paint industry include competitive pricing, quality products, favourable trade agreements and efficient logistics networks.” Domestic sales have also been expanding and the association President estimated that the average Thai domestic paint and coatings sales revenues for 2022 rose by 10-15% yr-on- yr and are projected to rise at least 5-10% this year (2023).
These encouraging figures reflect the ongoing success of the Thai paint industry, underlining the importance of being involved in one of Asia’s most exciting markets for the coatings industry.
For manufacturers or suppliers to the paint industry who are looking to re-establish old ties or forge completely new ones, more information about the event and how to take part can be found here: www.asiapacificcoatingsshow.com
