LANXESS to launch first online Virtual Day


German speciality chemicals company LANXESS will launch on September 15-17 its first-ever online Virtual Day under the theme of “Creating value with partners.” The event is focused on the Asia Pacific region and will create a platform to communicate with customers and partners and promote latest products and solutions.

“This virtual trade fair is our answer to the frequent cancellation of traditional trade shows in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic,” said Ming Cheng Chien, President LANXESS Asia-Pacific Region. “The very satisfactory response in registrations so far shows that our customers are on board with this new format. We look forward to welcoming them to a vibrant and interactive virtual event.”

Virtual Day revolves around a comprehensive three-day agenda of 56 online seminars held in English, Chinese and Japanese. Experts from LANXESS will showcase new products, new processes and new technology for a broad range of industries including new mobility, rubber and plastics, construction, coatings, E&E, metal working, water treatment and personal care.

The event also features an interactive 3D exhibition online booth to ensure that participants gain immersive experience. By taking a virtual walk through the 720 degree booth, visitors can get detailed information on latest exhibits and solutions. A download centre with brochures and videos complements the comprehensive offering.

Solutions for key industries

With long-term confidence in the prospects of the electric vehicle market, LANXESS is ready to display its wide range of new products dedicated to the New Mobility sector, such as Durethan high-performance lightweight plastics or Lewatit ion exchange resins, which have long been proven in the extraction and production of metals that are key cathode materials for electric vehicle batteries today.

LANXESS will also demonstrate and explore solutions serving the construction industry, such as polymerisd flame retardants and inorganic pigments produced with environmental processes.

With more efforts planned for the development of consumer protection products, LANXESS also seeks to showcase its high performance active ingredient of insect repellent Saltidin and unique solutions for personal care products during the event.
