Croda will showcase its sustainable ingredients at Automechanika, UK 2016

Croda, a leading global supplier of speciality chemicals will showcase its automotive product portfolio this June at Automechanika 2016 in Birmingham, UK.
Croda has a diverse range of sustainable ingredients for automotive applications which enhance performance on numerous places within the car, in automotive fluids, plastic components, under-the-bonnet, temperature control applications; and those on the car, in coatings.

Maarten Heybroek, Sector President for Croda’s Performance Technologies and Industrial Chemicals commented:
“Croda exhibiting as a joint front for the first time shows our commitment to the automotive market. It is a great opportunity to showcase our broad innovative strength directly to the industry.”
Croda will be located at stand 11G15 at Automechanika 2016. Technical experts with more than 30 years’ experience will be present to discuss projects, offer samples and provide literature to take away for their wide range of speciality ingredients in the automotive market.
Some of the innovation areas that will be highlighted at the exhibition are:
Lubricants – Ester base oils and high performance additives for a range of automotive fluids; particular expertise will be shown in managing friction, whether that be reducing or controlling it at a desired level.
Plastics – Speciality additives for various polymers to improve effects, such as anti-static, scratch resistance, visible bloom, composite lubrication, UV protection and mould release as well as being cost saving. The additives can improve interior parts, exterior parts and under-the-bonnet components.

Phase change materials – Bio-based temperature control for in-cabin and for cold storage evaporators.
Technologies for advanced materials – Expertise in dispersion and rheology control of particulates, suitable for printed/ flexible electronics, wash coats for catalytic converters, capacitors and many other specialist applications.
Adhesives and coatings - Sustainable and durable solutions that protect cars against severe external factors such as extreme weather conditions, heat and greases. These smart ingredients enhance the performance of adhesives, coatings, engineering plastics and foams used in cars and other means of transportation and reduce production processing time and maintenance costs.
