With the vibes trend report, Axalta Coating Systems has established a magazine for colours and effects on metal substrates in architecture and design that is unique in the powder coating industry.
Each trend report is filled with storytelling and inspiration, providing a singular overview on how the different colours, textures and qualities of powder coatings can contribute to making projects and designs stand out.
Sally Put, Axalta Colour Expert, creator and editor of the magazine said: “With every edition of vibes, we are actually practicing colour archeology of the future. And the future of colour in architecture and design is always looking bright and innovating. Eclectic revivals, sociological influences and the merge of old and young generations bring interesting combinations in terms of colours, effects and finishes. Powder coating is the sustainable versatility the future of metal substrates needs.”
This tenth edition of the vibes trend report once again features four new trend themes: intuition, refuge, core and cavernous. As each trend contains six colours, it is an astonishing selection of 24 colours influenced by sociology from all corners of the globe, and is created to set the moods and spirits of the near future. Each trend theme uses colours and hues alongside the spectacular facades, exceptional indoor and outdoor furniture, remarkable lighting and other impressive design objects, all of which are actual references that have been powder coated with Axalta products.
Vibes 2.2020 features two new and diverse mood boards that dig a bit deeper into sociological stories that are currently trending. Each mood board comes with a selection of RAL-based powder coating colours that perfectly match the mood. Axalta's RAL-based product offering is available in a matt, semi-gloss, high-gloss or fine textured finish to perfectly match any design. In addition, Axalta offers them in standard architectural Alesta® AE or Alesta® SD SuperDurable quality to meet the different quality requirements.
In the “designer vibes” section, Axalta hands the stage over to architects and designers from all around Europe who report on how they use colour and powder coatings to give their projects, designs and objects a distinctive personality and special meaning.
Each edition of the vibes trend report comes with a handy fan deck with sample panels of the colours highlighted in the magazine. For further information and to order the vibes magazine and fan deck, visit www.axalta.com/vibes-2.2020
