Jotun has opened a new marine and protective coatings factory outside Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The facility is the company’s first in South America and will have a production capacity of 10M lit/yr.
The opening ceremony, that took place on November 17, 2015, was attended by HRH The Crown Prince of Norway, Haakon, who officially opened the factory. The factory is built on a 130,000m2 plot of land, with a total investment of more than 100M Brazilian Reals and employs around 100 people.
