Last year saw Industrial Nanotech Inc, an emerging global leader in nanotechnology based energy saving and sustainable solutions, launch an intelligent coating that comes in any colour, provides energy saving thermal insulation, reflectivity, mould resistance and is self-cleaning.
This environmentally friendly and low-VOC coating provides a textured flat finish that can be tinted to a desired colour and is easily applied to the exterior walls of homes and buildings for energy savings.
Francesca Crolley, VP of Business Development for Industrial Nanotech stated: "This intelligent coating is a perfect complementary technology to offer alongside our Nansulate product line. The coating is offered in white with different ‘cool colour’ tint kits available in attractive colours. For those wanting to paint a colour, while also getting an energy saving benefit, this product gives them that option. Additionally, the self-cleaning component will keep the exterior of a home or building cleaner much longer, meaning less maintenance and repainting costs in the long run.”
Meanwhile, the company has been involved in new and existing projects for the oil and gas industry. Major companies in this sector are expanding the use of the company’s patented Nansulate coatings, which combine thermal insulation and anti-corrosion performance qualities and are proven to provide long-term weather resistant protection and energy savings when applied to storage tanks, offshore platforms, above and underground pipelines and other refinery equipment. Projects involve oil and gas companies in Asia, the Middle East and South America, as well as an equipment manufacturer for this industry.
Asia: Following the completion of a successful trial of Nansulate coated on an entire fuel oil storage tank on an offshore drilling platform in the East China Sea, the company received a 300gal order.
