“We would like to thank Wilfrid Gambade for his significant contribution over the past three years, particularly during unprecedented challenges for the global chemical industry in the light of adverse macroeconomics conditions. Under his leadership, a new strategic roadmap Go Grow Green was introduced, and a comprehensive operational improvement plan was implemented which set solid foundations for IGM Resins’ future successes,” said John Huiberts, Founder of IGM Resins and current Chairman of the Board.
This plan included the acquisition of Litian and the partnership with Qualipoly to build a unique one-stop-shop product and solutions offering in the UV curing industry, the acceleration of innovations roll-out, an increased focus on sustainability as well as the optimisation of IGM Resins’ production footprint, including the completion of its state-of-the-art greenfield production facility in China.
“IGM Resins stands as a global market leader in the growing energy curing resins industry driven by positive ESG and regulatory macro-trends, with a differentiated business model and backed by a strong global team with local presence. As a majority shareholder and partner, Astorg remains fully engaged to support the company’s long-term growth prospects, and we are pleased to welcome a seasoned industry executive like Boudewijn Morelissen, to pursue the execution of the firm’s development plan and drive it forward,” commented Nicolas Marien, Partner at Astorg.
Boudewijn brings many years of experience, his in-depth knowledge of the chemical industry, together with his strategic vision, and development skills, will be key in driving IGM Resins forward while keeping a strong focus on meeting the specific needs of its customers and partners around the world.
Prior to joining IGM, Boudewijn Morelissen worked for DLG, a Danish conglomerate, where he served as CEO of Vilofoss. Boudewijn is a results-driven leader with a progressive career in leading companies like Cargill, DSM and Owens Corning. He holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
