Henkel Adhesive Technologies received numerous awards in 2014

In 2014, Henkel Adhesive Technologies, the leading solution provider for adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, received more than 30 awards from customers and trade media from all around the world. These prizes have been granted among various industries for categories such as quality, excellence and innovation.

Henkel know-how is a key ingredient in the production of diapers, feminine hygiene products and pet care products. Unicharm, a leading Japanese manufacturer of these products, recognized Henkel Adhesive Technologies for its outstanding quality performance. Last year, this was just one example of numerous international prizes from customers and institutions received by the Henkel business unit, with the trend apparently set to continue through 2015.

"Awards granted by our customers are an important affirmation of our performance," says Jan-Dirk Auris, Executive Vice President Henkel Adhesive Technologies. "They also serve as a motivation for all our teams to intensify their efforts in providing innovative, customised solutions along the entire value chain to further drive our customers’ business."

Another recognition of performance Adhesive Technologies received for its outstanding quality achievement is the General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award. Henkel supplies the GM Kokomo, Indiana site with Loctite lead-free solder paste for production of various printed circuit boards used within GM automobiles. When taking into account the production ramp-up of Loctite, the award win is even more significant. The award showcases top performance in a number of areas including product quality, on-time delivery and cross-functional support.

Another example is the coveted Strategic Supplier Award recently granted by Singapore-based technology company Flextronics International Ltd., a leading manufacturer of electronic components. The Award recognizes outstanding performance, strategic value-add, excellent service and innovation by suppliers that exemplify what it means to be a strategic supplier at Flextronics. International media have also been keen to recognise the customised solutions that Henkel provides. The electronics journal ‘Circuits Assembly Magazine’ chose Henkel for its Product Innovation Award in recognition of the newly developed, flexible thermal-absorbing films and of a halogen-free solder paste from Loctite for hand-held device manufacturing.
