Telene impact and fatigue resistance validated

An impact resistance and fatigue-testing study released by the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Leuven (Belgium) found that Telene exhibited 50% greater resistance in impact testing and four times longer life in fatigue testing than epoxy samples did, while maintaining the same overall tensile strength. Telene, a thermoset polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD), is used as a matrix in glass fibre composites.
