The supervisory board of Dr. Hönle AG has delegated Dr. Franz Richter, currently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the UV technology company, as interim successor to CEO Norbert Haimerl.
Norbert Haimerl has been on the board for many years and resigned by mutual agreement effective April 30, 2023. He was a member of the board of Dr. Hönle AG since 2000 and as CEO since last year. For more than two decades he has made a significant contribution to the successful development of the company.
The search for a new CEO has already begun. Until her or his appointment, Dr. Franz Richter will take up this position, for a maximum of one year. During this time, his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board will be suspended – and taken over by Niklas Friedrichsen on an interim basis. He has been a member of the Dr. Hönle AG Supervisory Board since 2022.
The physicist Dr. Franz Richter has extensive expertise in the field of technical developments, including UV lithography, UV purification and silicone adhesives. With many years of experience in the fields of semiconductors and optoelectronics, i.e., at Carl Zeiss AG and Süss Microtec SE – where he last worked as CEO – Dr. Richter has the right qualifications to continue expanding the Dr. Hönle AG as an innovative and reliable partner for industrial UV solutions.
The interim CEO Dr. Franz Richter is looking forward to his new operational task at Dr. Hönle AG: “Hönle has almost 50 years of experience in the field of UV technology. The company has always been a trendsetter and technology driver in many areas and has opened up various new fields of application for UV curing. Together with all employees, we will now set the course for a strategy of accelerated profitable growth.”
