Next generation technology designed to support future developments in the international paint and coatings industry will be on display from Dow Coating Materials – a business unit of Dow – at PaintIndia in Mumbai, 21-23 January 2016.
The technologies on display in Hall 1 stand B1-C1 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre are designed help formulators create coatings with desired functionalities such as enhanced air quality, ease of processing, efficient application, stain resistance and long-lasting protection.
Dow Coating Materials – one of the world’s leading suppliers of architectural binders, additives and industrial resins for the paints and coatings industry – will also be sharing technical insights through papers at the accompanying Congress, the first time PaintIndia has held such an event.
Technologies from Dow Coating Materials that will be highlighted at PaintIndia 2016 include:
– new Acrylic Epoxy Hybrid (AEH) Technology for commercial and institutional wall applications. Combining the durability of acrylics with the chemical resistance of epoxies, MAINCOTE™ AEH Resin is a novel hybrid technology for two-component (2K) concrete coatings that offers ultra-low VOC* capability while lengthening pot life and accelerating dry/cure time.
– latest developments in additive based on ACID SUPPRESSIONTM Technology, including ACRYSOL™RM-725, a mid-shear HEUR Rheology Modifier with high shear contribution for low VOC* paints, new high efficient high shear builders and ACRYSOL™ DR-180, an efficient mid shear HASE with efficient flow and applied hiding properties for stable emulsion paints and ACRYSOL™ GA 110 is a grinding additive designed to improve cost efficiency in mid and high PVC coatings formulations.
– FASTRACK™ binders for formulation of long-lasting, high visibility, low dirt pick-up road-marking paints. DIRTSHIELD™ Binder technology, an acrylic-mineral hybrids for effective dirt pick-up resistance
– High performance PRIMAL™ water-borne acrylic resins designed to offer specific functionality for high gloss enamel paints.
– Dow Coating Materials will also share information on its formaldehyde abatement FORMASHIELD™ Technology, designed to improve indoor air quality.
Running alongside PaintIndia 2016 is the Congress on 21-22 January 2016, where technical experts from Dow Coating Materials will be presenting their latest scientific advances.
Under the theme ‘Cutting-edge ingredients and technologies for value-addition’, Arthur Lemon, will present a paper entitled ‘Acrylic epoxy hybrid coatings for commercial and institutional wall applications’.
Ulrich Nauber, Strategic Market Manager for Architectural will present a paper on the latest developments in additives.
