With its expertise in silicones markets Bluestar Silicones has launched a new strategic plan for the coming years to strengthen its worldwide specialty businesses & market positions. Bluestar Silicones strategy "I really believe that if we can combine the business assets of our shareholders and the strengths of our company: Elkem’s Norwegian precision and its persistence in continuous improvement, Bluestar Group’s limitless ambition and energy with Bluestar Silicones’ agility and creativity in a fast-changing environment. This unique recipe will surely enable us to play a leading role in our industry worldwide,” saids Frederic Jacquin, CEO. The silicone industry offers a wide and growing range of opportunities. Bluestar Silicones has therefore adapted its strategy to serve its customers in several key markets. "We try and never say no or it’s impossible to our customers when they call on us,” Frederic Jacquin explains. "We study their requests and try to understand their needs, requirements and the business benefits they are seeking. We then move fast, trying always to be flexible and agile.” This explains why our corporate tagline is ‘Delivering your potential’.”
To increase our global presence and address ourselves to silicone users worldwide who do not work with us yet, Bluestar Silicones has signed several key partnership agreements, created a new business channel and reasserted its new identity and values.
New Partnerships to conquer new territories
In September 2015, to strengthen our strategy and market network, Bluestar Silicones signed a distribution agreement with Grasim Industries Ltd, a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group in India. "We have explored and implemented highly strategic partnerships to quickly and firmly enlarge our reach to the global market,” continued Frederic Jacquin. "This was also the reason we signed a strategic deal last year with Brenntag in Europe, which now delivers its potential and we have signed other distribution deals in Asia and Latin America. Our latest move has been to sign a partnership agreement with Basoglu, following on 20 years of a successful business relationship, to create a Mix & Fix offer in Turkey and neighbouring countries.
A new website to be present everywhere all the time!
The Bluestar Silicones team of professionals has put their passion and energy into developing this totally new platform. "The objective of the website is to give access in a couple of clicks to anyone who wants to get specific information on our offer and understand how we’re unique. It has also been designed to enable you to contact the right person in our team to go to the next step in our relations. It’s also a fantastic tool to really show you who we are and to proudly demonstrate what we are capable of doing. It’s aimed at attracting customers who need added-value products and services, while reaching out to talented people who want to join our company."
A new Brand
"A stronger company brand is a must if we want to succeed in our specialist strategy and explain the true value of our offer” The new brand system features a logo with the company name and incorporates our slogan "Delivering your potential”. Frederic Jacquin saids that "this is a clearer way of saying who we are and what we want to do for our customers”. The heart of the idea is "about people, dedicated to the silicone industry, combining expertise and in tune with different cultures and businesses” because we care about our customers and teams.
