Yip’s Chemical Holdings, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of acetate solvents and one of China’s largest manufacturers of petrochemical products, has announced that its subsidiary, Yip’s Ink and Chemicals (Bauhinia Variegata Ink), has been selected 14th place in ‘The Top International Ink Companies 2011’.
Compiled by Ink World, this acknowledgement marks the first time that a Chinese ink company was included among the top 20 within such a global industry ranking. The selection was achieved on the strength of its sales of US$164M and its top industry position in China. The relatively high ranking demonstrates strong growth momentum of Chinese ink companies.
Mr Stephen Yip, deputy chairman of Yip’s Chemical, said: "We are very delighted to see that our subsidiary, Bauhinia Variegata Ink, representing ink companies in China, has been selected as one of the global ink industry leaders. This recognition is the result of Bauhinia Variegata Ink’s years of efforts in focusing on the China market and dedication to innovation.
Looking ahead, Yip’s Chemical continues to support the development of Bauhinia Variegata Ink by investing resources in its technology, talent and management, with the aim to drive the growth of our Chinese ink brand.”
Bauhinia Variegata Ink has three production plants in Zhongshan, Guangdong, Tungxiang, Zhejiang, and Cangzhou, Hebei with products covering Southern, Eastern and Northern China, respectively. Bauhinia Variegata Ink ranked the first in the ink industry in China in terms of production capacity and sales in 2010.
