Axalta, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, will showcase its electro mobility offering at the Electric Drives Production Conference (EDPC) which takes place in Schweinfurt, Germany, from December 4-5, 2018.
Frank Saborowski, Axalta’s Wire Enamels Product Manager for its Energy Solutions business, will present on the future of electro mobility on Wednesday December 5 at 8am.
The presentation, entitled Innovative Insulation Materials for the next Generation of Electric Drives, will focus on how Axalta develops bespoke solutions for the automotive market in the fields of electrical steel coatings, wire enamels, impregnating resins and casting materials, to improve the performance levels of modern electric motors.
Saborowski will discuss the four sections which make up e-motors – the core, the conductor, the cover and the casting – and look at the challenges each one presents.
Saborowski said: "The development of efficient, high-performance and reliable motors for hybrid and electric vehicles that are also environmentally-responsible is continually progressing and creates new challenges for electrical insulation materials.
"At Axalta, we use state-of-the-art technologies to design innovative, new products that not only meet our customers’ evolving needs, but also help them envision what can be achieved in the future.”
Axalta will be available to discuss its specialised electro mobility products, such as the Voltron wire enamel system, Voltatex 4200 impregnating resins and Voltatex 1175W self-bonding electrical steel coating, as well as the full range of its Energy Solution products, throughout the conference.
An article on the same subject will appear in the December issue of Asia Pacific Coatings Journal.
