Axalta, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, has been named as a Top 30 Best Workplaces 2020 in Spain in the medium-sized businesses category for companies with between 50 and 500 employees.
Axalta Spain’s achievement was recognised with a certificate organised by the global authority behind the Best Workplaces rankings, Great Place To Work.
This is the second consecutive year Axalta Spain has secured the Best Workplaces achievement and it’s testament to its values-driven approach to people management, development and innovation.
Axalta Spain’s main strength, as highlighted by its own employees, is its ability to provide a positive working environment that facilitates easy collaboration between employees for increased productivity and efficiency.
Axalta additionally provides its employees with high levels of autonomy, giving them the freedom to develop and to implement new and better ways of working, while also encouraging staff to maintain a healthy work/life balance at all times.
Axalta Spain has a number of initiatives that promote employee collaboration, wellbeing and innovation.
They include regular health and lifestyle activities, a mentoring programme for the better integration of foreign employees and the Young Professionals Program, which encourages young team members from across the Spanish organisation to provide their vision and solutions for business-critical projects.
Carmen Gonzalez, Asturias Centre Leader and Managing Director for Axalta in Spain, said: "Our people are the reason for Axalta Spain’s latest success in the Top 30 Best Workplaces 2020.
"Whether it’s our highly successful onboarding process for new joiners or our managers trusting their teams to do an excellent job, we have a culture of trust and we value innovation at all levels of our organisation.
"As a result, our team is able to deliver the best results for our company and for our valued customers.”
Juan Antonio Rodríguez, Axalta Human Resources Leader for Spain, Portugal and Italy, said: "We strive for continuous improvement of our people, processes and innovations.
"This accolade is proof that we are on the right track as we work to deliver a culture in which individuals can not only thrive professionally and personally, but also helps us cement Axalta’s position as a market leader.”
Winners of the Best Workplaces are selected primarily based on employees’ responses to the Trust Index®Survey, which is taken as part of the Great Place To Work certification process and which accounts for two thirds of the evaluation.
The remaining third consists of the Culture Audit®, an analysis of the organisation’s culture through its HR practices and policies.
