The ACT ’16 Conference will be held in the Expo Silesia Exhibition Centre in Sosnowiec from November 8-10, 2016.
The ACT Conference is an established event, which was launched in 1995 and has continued to take place every two years. Focusing on the latest topics and developments concerning paint technology, the conference is designed to increase the dialogue among Central, East – and West – European paint specialists.
The ACT ’16 Conference will be held in the Expo Silesia Exhibition Centre in Sosnowiec, which is located very close to Katowice. During the last ACT ’14 event held in Sosnowiec about 120 delegates from 15 countries participated in the Conference.
As well as presenting the latest technical innovations and trends, the Conference promotes business contacts among participants mainly from Europe. The coatings industry in Central and Eastern Europe offers a significant opportunity for the suppliers of raw materials, new technologies, machines and equipment. Poland is well situated as a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe and its position aids co-operation and the successful development of the paint industry to the benefit of everyone.
As an international and unique meeting, the Conference represents a great opportunity for industry and academia to exchange and establish new contacts and acquire new scientific and technical knowledge. The ACT ’16 Organising Committee invites speakers who are specialists from significant laboratories and companies who will focus on their newest achievements in coatings, thereby bringing together scientists and engineers from material producers, paint makers, machinery, and manufacturers.
During previous years there was a balance of information from both industrial and academic sources. Some of the following leading companies spoke at previous ACT conferences:
Air Products and Chemicals, Akzo Nobel, Alberdingk Boley, Amoco Chemicals, Angus Chemie, APV Baker IED, Arkema, Atofina, BASF, Bayer, Borchers, Brenntag, Bühler Partec, Byk-Chemie, Cardolite, Celanese, Chromaflo Technologies, Ciba, Clariant, Cognis, Cortec Corporation, Cray Valley, Creanova Specialchemie, Croda, Cytec, Datacolor, Degussa, DOW, Dow Corning, Draiswerke, DSM Resins, DuPont, Dyno Industries, Eastman, Efka Additives, Elementis Specialties, Eliokem, Evonik, Exxon Mobil Chemical, Henkel, Herberts, Heubach, Huntsman Tioxide, ICI Surfactants, Incorez, Johnson Polymer, Kärntner Montaningustrie, Kronos International, Lanxess, Lubrizol, Merck, Minolta, Mondo Minerals, NCS Colour Centre, Neo Resins, Nevcin Polymers, Netzsch, Nuplex Resins, Omnova Solutions, Perstorp, Plüs-Staufer – Omya, PPG Industries, Rheox, Rhodia Coatings, Rohm and Haas, Sachtleben, Sartomer, Sasol Servo, Shell Chemicals (Resolution Performance), Sigma Coatings, Solutia, Tego Chemie Service, Troy, UCB Chemicals, Wacker Chemie, World Minerals.
