For the second year running, BCF has won Trade Association of the Year at the Trade Association Forum’s (TAF’s) 2018 Best Practice Awards.
On only one other occasion in the event’s sixteen year history has an organisation received the award two years in a row, which makes the win a particularly outstanding achievement for the Federation.
The BCF also picked up a win for ‘Publication of the Year’ for their Annual Handbook and in the ‘Good Governance’ category.
Commenting on the achievement, Linda Cavender Chief Executive of TAF said: "BCF is a deserving winner of the ultimate accolade of Trade Association of the Year in 2018 for the second year running.
"A rare achievement as only once in the history of the TAF Best Practice Awards has this happened before.
"BCF has a particularly inclusive nature and has had another fantastic year, punching above their weight representing their industry and a record year for membership growth.
"The organisation is supremely professional and is a shining example of a trade association that others should aspire to emulate.”
Tom Bowtell, Chief Executive of the BCF said: "Winning Trade Association of the Year for a second time running makes me hugely proud – we strive to serve our members, to go the extra mile to deliver value, and to gain influence for the sector.
"It’s wonderful to see this recognised, and I’d like to thank the BCF staff for their dedication and commitment to putting members first.
"2018 has been a huge upheaval for the BCF team, moving over 100 miles to a new office in Coventry, and recruiting a new back office team.
"We now have a wonderful new home for our members, and this award is the icing on the cake for another momentous year for the Federation.”
