Axalta has launched Eleglas TM, its vibrant portfolio of decorative coatings designed to protect and enhance the aesthetics of glass and ceramic surfaces.
Included in this portfolio is a water-based polymer, anti-shatter technology, engineered to provide a protective liner that keeps glass and ceramic fragments intact in the event of a break.
The portfolio marks Axalta’s official expansion into the glass coatings market.
Eleglas coatings are available in a variety of colours, finishes, and specifications and are designed to protect surfaces against shattering, chemicals, abrasions, scratches and washing.
In addition, its anti-shatter technology is designed to protect broken items from leaking or causing injury.
Eleglas can be applied to a wide range of products across diverse industries, including cosmetics, beverage containers, lighting, glassware and luxury perfume.
"This revolutionary portfolio of products, including our anti-shatter technology, has the potential to set businesses in diverse industries apart from their competitors,” said Eric Kwasnicka, Product Manager, Industrial Coatings.
"We look forward to working with customers to create new opportunities and dimensions for their glass and ceramic products.”
