Due to the growing demand of its global business and the drive to introduce innovative new products to the UV-radcure market, IGM Resins has commenced the development of a new, state of the art, photoinitiator production facility in Anqing, Anhui Province, China.
The new site will be designed with a finished product capacity in excess of 10,000t and include backward integration into key starting materials.
The site will also include a new pilot facility and flexible scale-up production capacity to facilitate the introduction of new photoinitiators developed in support of key market trends, including LED curing, low migration and waterborne UV technology.
Work on the site will begin in Q3 2019 and the first production is scheduled by Q4 2020.
Further increasing its global presence to ensure optimal customer satisfaction, IGM is also planning two major capacity expansion projects at its Mortara, Italy photoinitiator production site, which will increase the site’s capacity by 25%.
The new photoinitiator production facility in Anqing, in addition to IGM’s existing site in Haimen and the capacity expansion in Mortara, Italy will ensure that IGM is able to address the increasing global demand for high quality photoinitiator products and successfully produce and launch new products.
Through these global expansion activities, IGM will ensure that it is able to provide uninterrupted deliveries that will keep its customers’ operations running smoothly.
