FEICA, the Association of the European Adhesive & Sealant Industry, and the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries (HACI) provide support for a nascent organisation.
On December 8, 2021, representatives of the Greek adhesive and sealant industry came together to found the Hellenic Adhesives and Sealant Cluster (HASC), under the umbrella of the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries (HACI).
As of January 2022, Greece joins the many other EU countries which have a national association representing the adhesives and sealants manufacturers vis-à-vis authorities.
This inaugural meeting focused on the legal formalities of the founding of the Association and the election of the first Administrative Committee. Panos Scarlatos, General Director of HACI, and Kristel Ons, Secretary General of FEICA, congratulated the members on their new association and offered continuing support to the Cluster.
HASC currently has 12 members: H.B. Fuller Greece SAIC, Henkel Hellas SA, Mapei Hellas, Sika Hellas, Kerakoll Hellas, Alchimica Building Chemicals, Ravago Hellas SA, Isomat S.A. Building Chemicals and Mortars, A. Elliniadis SA, Vertico, Elastotet SA, Bostik Hellas SA.
Kristel Ons added: "On behalf of the FEICA Executive Board I welcome the Greek members to our European adhesive and sealant forum of National Associations. I’m looking forward to a fruitful co-operation and strengthening a sustainable future for our industry."
Panos Scarlatos on behalf of the Board of Directors of HACI expressed his thanks to FEICA for the support and added: "It is the right time for adhesives and sealants producers to join FEICA towards the Green Deal ambitious targets."
