The ChemQuest Group, a global business strategy and external technology development firm with focus and expertise specific to the speciality chemicals markets, has announced the addition of Robert G Kramer as Director. Mr Kramer joins ChemQuest and brings decades of speciality chemical manufacturing operations, financial and sales experience. He started his path towards management and operations at Robert Morris University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In his career, he has held multiple positions in the speciality chemicals industry from sales to executive-level management. Furthering his expertise in lean operations management, Mr Kramer holds a Six Sigma green belt. Using his expertise in manufacturing operations, process optimisation, and business development, Mr Kramer will aid in the expansion of ChemQuest’s Manufacturing Excellence pillar.
Most recently, Mr Kramer was President at rose plastic, wherein he was responsible for the overall financials and operations for North America. His leadership in this position led to improvements in operational performance while helping to stabilise employee turnover and morale despite the pandemic. In addition to his leadership prowess, he was instrumental in establishing a team to successfully set-up a new medical production facility which required ISO 13485 certification to include the transition of customers.
At ChemQuest, Mr Kramer’s manufacturing operational experience will benefit clients using consulting services under the Manufacturing Excellence pillar, an engineering and project management service focused on plant and process optimisation, and supply chain strategy and management. Reflecting on joining ChemQuest, Mr Kramer had this to say: "After a brief introduction to ChemQuest through a former colleague and now current ChemQuest Associate, I am thrilled to join and be a part of the ChemQuest Team. My background in various general management and manufacturing roles, mostly in the converting of polymers into compounds and packaging solutions complements the ChemQuest strategy in enhancing operational excellence and value creation. I look forward to using my knowledge and experience in helping customers be more successful.”
ChemQuest CEO, Dan Murad echoed Mr Kramer’s excitement: "Bob is exactly the kind of person we aim to recruit at ChemQuest. His broad experience in speciality chemical operational management paired with his general management and communication skills make him a welcomed addition to the team. I look forward to working with Bob on future Manufacturing Excellence projects.”
