Charley Hutton, one of the custom car world’s most popular painters, will appear at the PPG Industries automotive refinish business’s PPG Show Truck display at two major Goodguys Rod & Custom Association shows this summer. Hutton will meet show visitors and sign autographs at the 25th Pacific Northwest Nationals in Puyallup, Wash, July 27-29, and the 11th Mid-Western Nationals in Kansas City, Kan, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.
Hutton has received many honours for his dramatic colour schemes for high-end street rods. Accolades include Ridler Awards, Street Rod of the Year and Custom Rod of the Year awards, as well as an America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award. Hutton is also a recognised television personality who appeared on the Discovery Channel’s American Hot Rod show with custom car builder Boyd Coddington and was featured on Hot Rod TV and The Learning Channel’s Overhaulin’. He does most of his work in the Charley Hutton Color Studio in Nampa, Idaho, and uses only PPG Automotive Refinish products.
