De Vree going strong with major AkzoNobel China and UK contracts

Belgium-based manufacturer of filling and packaging equipment for the coatings industry De Vree celebrated its 72nd year in business with major contracts for AkzoNobel’s new manufacturing facilities in Shanghai, China and Ashington, UK. De Vree manufactured, installed and will further be installing 13 fully automatic high speed filling and packaging lines, together with a number of semi-automatic filling machines.

The project represents one of the biggest orders the company has ever sealed and it is testimony to the fact that, although Europe continues to play a significant role in its business, regions such as Asia Pacific and the Middle East are becoming more and more important year after year. De Vree has recently supplied all the filling equipment for Hempel’s new factory in Jeddah, KSA.
