Vink Chemicals GmbH & Co KG has acquired the biocide business of Prom Chem Ltd from the UK.
This means that the company from the Lower Saxon, Kakenstorf will continue to expand its most important business area in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Vink Chemicals achieves approximately 90% of its sales with the production and distribution of biocides.
"With the acquisition, we are strengthening our core business and open up new target groups," says David Zilm, Sales Manager Biocides.
The purchase of part of the Biocidal division of Prom Chem with a focus on bit (1, 2-benzisothiazolin-3-one/CAS: 2634-33-5), fits ideally into the growth strategy of the company.
In the course of the acquisition, the biocidal expert from northern Germany acquired all European registrations of the biocidal formulations of Prom Chem and will continue offering all biocides of the Promex brand.
In addition to the active ingredients CMIT/MIT and MIT, BIT will now complement the portfolio for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The quality, the specifications and the names of the biocidal formulations of Prom Chem will not change for the customers by the takeover.
Only the formulations of the types Promex CMT (CMIT/MIT) will henceforth be distributed under the name Vinkocide.
Promex users will benefit from the acquisition, due to the comprehensive service offered by Vink Chemicals:
"We support, not only with regard to regulatory issues and the registration of formulations.
"The flexible production of smaller quantities is also a matter of course for us.
"This makes us clearly different from the competition,” said Zilm.
